Youngest Pharmacognosy teachers in the world featured in the carrier list of “World Ranking of Top 2% Scientists” by Stanford University & Elsevier in 2025 and featured from last 4 years. Researcher in the field of Natural product drug discovery and formulation development with main focus in exploration of medicinal plants of the Himalayan region through Ethnopharmacology and reverse Pharmacology approach. Significant research achievements in the field of pharmacological validation and phytochemistry of western Himalayan plants, with few Patents granted and multiple publications in peers reviewed journals of high repute like Military Medical Research, Seminars in Cancer Biology, Biotechnology Advances, Trends in Food Science and Technology, Pharmacology & Therapeutics, Theranostics, Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B, Ageing Research Reviews and many more. Dr. Tewari currently serving as Assistant Professor and In-charge Natural Resources and Translational Research Lab and UPLC facility at DPSRU, New Delhi. He also served as Visiting Scientist to the Institute of Genetics and Animal Biotechnology of the prestigious Polish Academy of Sciences, Poland, He received important awards for plant drug research like Young Scientist Award by UCOST, Govt. of Uttarakhand, Best Paper Award by Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India, Best Concept Note Award by PCI, Govt. of India, Research Appreciation Award for 3 consecutive years from LPU, First, Second and Third Prize for Presentation of Research work including Monetary Awards for research and Hindi Writing. A Member of the Pharmacopoeia Committee (PCIM&H), expert member for specific publications related to COVID-19 of Ministry of AYUSH and expert reviewer for grant proposals of International Councils. At present Dr Devesh is having research grants of Approx 40 Lakhs (4 million) from DST, Government of India as Principal Investigator. He has supervised 01 PhD and 5 M. Pharm students and currently having 1 PhD and 6 PG students including M. Pharm and M.D. (Ayu.) students and many B. Pharm students. He also served as session Chair/Resource person/Keynote Speaker/Expert and Presenting Author in various prestigious international/national conferences and FDPs. He is also Editorial Board Member for some prestigious journals of high repute. He is having over 100 high quality publications with h-index: 45; i10-index: 105 and citations: over 8,800.
